I've gone twice and thought the food was pretty decent. I never had a horrible experience.... except for that one time the fire alarm went out in the middle of dinner and we all had to evacuate for a good 20 minutes. We decided to just leave instead of returning to a cold meal.

I've eaten there a few times but from the take out where they have the patio. I think the burritos are good and it keeps me filled for a better part of the day. Probably one of the cheaper things to eat in DTD or at the resort in general.

yes, their Taqueria side that resembles Chipotle is a better deal and is pretty tasty... when their employees get your order right! I never seen so much perfectly good food go in the trash because they screwed up.

I'm granting you the title of honorary Mexican (if you aren't one) just so I can take that title away from you for liking this place! lol!

The food isn't terrible, but something is off about it. Just enough to make me wonder and bother me the entire meal. Plus the prices are really high for the ho-hum food. Someone else said this earlier, but in So Cal, you better bring your A-game when it comes to Latin foods. Universal City Walk's Camacho's is a much better restaurant. I would have love to seen L.A.'s famed El Gringo move in.
This is my signature. There are many like it but this one is mine.

To be honest, the "Mexican" food that we get up here in Canada (even from the same places, such as Taco Bell) are absolutly pitiful in comparison to the American counterparts. Everything is very cheap and genearlly unauthentic.

For that reason, it was a step up in that respect. However, it is also clear that you can do much better.

Since I started this thread months ago, we gave Tortilla Joe's another chance. Service was excellent, the food was very good, and the guacamole prepared at the table was outstanding.

Thinking the next time I will just order a guacamole and margarita and enjoy the night.
