    Re: Best breakfast at DLR?

We recently ate at Steakhouse 55 for breakfast, and I totally agree. Great food, excellent service and reasonable prices. For two adults, our total cost was under $40. I had eggs Benedict, and my husband had the steak. We were full until dinner that night. Plus, we waltzed right by the crowd waiting at Goofy's.

While I agree Steakhouse 55 is excellent, I would still say Minnie's Breakfast in the Park for that special breakfast. However since you are staying for a few days, hit up both! You won't be disappointed.

BTW I too was surprised how economical (and tasty) Steakhouse 55 was. . . Great now I'm hungry.

Pancakes at Riverbelle Terrace is never a bad way to start the day!

Minnie's Breakfast is also very magical.

Please elaborate. I've had the dinner buffet there before and loved it. Details on the Sunday brunch if you could, kind sir.

There was a variety! It's been a while...but I remember smoked salmon (I'm now an addict), freshly baked mini-bagels (I discovered these were my favorites), scrambled egg whites, made to order pancakes...pretty much everything. I wanna say there were waffles and french toast, but don't quote me on that. Of course, there were characters there as well. I, sadly, was a little disappointed by their dinner buffet last i tried it. I guess i'll have to try that one again.

I agree the variety is great! The one disappointing thing with the Storyteller's brunch is the Eggs Benedict. Of course they have them sitting under heat lamps, so the yolk isn't runny at all, it's hard as a rock. The Smoked Salmon is very nice, a lot of buffet places over salt the smoke salmon so you don't want to go back for more, not so with the Storyteller's brunch. The bloody mary's are good, however prepare to drop $25 for 2. For 3 of us (daughter is 3) the cost is about $100 each trip, but we are full until dinner time!

One tip, DO NOT go between 9 and 10 AM, even with a reservation the wait is about 30 min. We now make our reservations around 8:30 and wait only 5 to 10 min. Another upside is getting into the parking lot is a lot easier even if you're only arriving 30 min. earlier (there seems to be a rush around 9:30 almost every day).

Thanks for the tips, John and Pez. I really wanna try this out one of these days. The choices sound great.

If you don't require Characters or all you can eat, the best (dirty little secret) breakfast hands down is at Steakhouse 55

This is from a person with no kids , so this is based on food preference rather than character experience.

My favorite is Storyteller's cafe in the Grand Californian, followed closely by Rainforest Cafe in downtown Disney. Both have excellent food for breakfast!

On property, I would have to say the Mickey Mouse pancakes at River Belle Terrace(although I would like to do the Sunday gospel brunch at House of Blues). . . off property, if you don't mind a little drive(approx. 10 miles, but straight up Harbor Blvd.), I would DEFINITELY recommend Arthur's in La Habra. . .
