Must eat restaurants in Anaheim/ garden grove/ orange?

Looking for a list of must eat restaurants in the orange/ Anaheim area. Based on reviews this is what I have so far:



1 the boiling crab
2 king harbor seafood restaurant
3 Nicks at Laguna beach
4 Anapalco
5 Bruxie
6 Wahoos fish taco
7 Fa-Sai Thai

Any of these not worth going to? Any that I have missed?

I've had family go to the Boiling Crab a few times and they loved it. So I would give that a try. You can probably look up reviews for these restaurants on tripadvisor as well

Also Los Snachez which is counter service mexican.

If you have not been to Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Rain Forest Cafe, Bucca Di Beppo, it may be a time to try them.

Agree with In N' Out burger as well I believe if you sign up for emails, the Bucca Di Beppo will send you $10 off coupon for signing up. I hear the food there is pretty good. I've yet to try it, even though i say I'm going to every time I'm in the area

In and out is a definite! Should have put on my list. And just to say I've eaten at a restaurant called the Snatch ez would be worth it! As for the chain restaurants, I'm sure I will have to try at least one, but I always like supporting those family ran establishments first!

These are our must do chains. We're not picky eaters:
PF Changs in the Gardenwalk.
The old spaghetti factory
In n out burger
The Cheesecake Factory

(I've never heard of most on your list... Not sure how close they are to DL)

Buca di beppo sounds great, I do like the " family style" restaurants. I think instead of doing the gump we will try our luck at the boiling crab as it sounds as though the seafood is fresher. Old spaghetti we have in Vancouver. Rainforest, we used to have, and albeit the place is nice to look at but the food is borderline horrendous IMHO. I'm not a picky eater but I married me a French trained chef, so my palet is somewhat spoiled, hence the thread.

If you want Vietnamese food, try Brodard's Restaurant in Garden Grove. It is pretty close to The Boiling Crab. They have a bit more variety than your standard pho place, but what they are most famous for is their spring rolls. They have a take out window so maybe you can get a spring roll appetizer to go before you hit The Boiling Crab. Given how popular The Boiling Crab is you might need something to nibble on while you wait for a table.

Umami Burger is now in Anaheim not too far from Disneyland. If you're willing to drive out to Anaheim Hills you can try Slater's 50/50 which is famous for their half ground beef and half ground bacon burgers that was featured on the Travel Channel. Personally I'd go with Umami unless you really want to try that half bacon burger (far outshines the other burgers on their menu). Although if you do find yourself in Anaheim Hills you should try Rosine's Mediterranean Cuisine. Rosine's is where we take out of town guests for dinner.

And you should definitely find a good food truck gathering.

I've had family go to the Boiling Crab a few times and they loved it very much. I must say their food is tasty and delicious. I liked it very much.

I actually liked Tiffy's: 1060 W Katella Ave

It's a little family restaraunt. Great burgers and they have games and stuff at the front. I always try to hit there whenever I get out to the parks.

Oh yes, Boiling Crab is definitely a must try! Keep in mind though, toward dinner the wait to get a table can reach one to two hours and there"s no reservations, from what I've experience at least.

Also, it's not really a restaurant but try M&M donuts, it's right by Disneyland. Their Blueberry donuts are to die for! But those usually have a wait of one to two hours too.

If you like crab you should definitely go to the Crab Cooker in Newport Beach. It might sound like a drive to those of you not from the area, but Harbor Blvd is named for Newport Beach so it isn't that far.
