Chinese food near DL - Recommendations?

Does anyone have recommendations for a good Chinese restaurant near DL? We like the standard fare (sweet and sour chicken) as well as Dim Sum.

    Thanks for the help!

My two favorite places are The Golden Dragon in Costa Mesa. This is on Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa in between Victoria St. and 19th St., roughly 10 miles south of the DLR.

My other favorite is Sam Woo, which is roughly 10 miles south on I-5. Take the Culver exit south. It is on the corner of Culver and Irvine Center Dr.

I hope this is close enough. "Near Disneyland" to a local and "near Disneyland" to a tourist are two totally different things...

On Orangethorpe (go north on Harbor from Disneyland and take a right onto Orangethorpe) is a restaurant called MAS' ISLAMIC CHINESE.

It's incredibly good. Chinese owned and operated, they cater to the Islamic community so the dishes are prepared with a higher level of care. I went there last night actually and it's definitely a few notches above the norm.

Harbor & Chapman (right by the Park)....highly recommended by quite a few people, even though I've still never been. I think its China Palace. Northeast corner of the cross streets across from Target.

If you want Dim Sum, your best bet would be to find where there's a 99 Ranch Market.

Here's the address to where the ranch market is:

    651 N. Euclid Street
    Anaheim, CA 92801

Wherever there's that market, you'll find an entire shopping plaza full of Chinese restaurants. It's 2.9 miles away from Disneyland right up the 5 Freeway.

    Panda Kitchen
    1770 S Harbor #120

NE corner of Harbor and Katella
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.

The Pacific Wharf in DCA. Oh snap.

I think the Paradise Pier hotel can or should go through a major reconstruction to include more restaurants and entertainment. I miss knowing that things like the Neon Cactus were around... even if I was too young at the time. There seems to be no nighttime entertainment for grown ups anymore.

If the OP has access to a car, they might want to check out the Garden Grove-Westminster area, not all that far from the DLR - especially the section known as Little Saigon. I was in the area just last weekend, and noticed several Vietnamese, Korean and Chinese restaurants, many of which offered dim sum.

I can't recommend a place because I haven't tried them but it might be worth checking out.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I'll also recommend Ma's Islamic Chinese restaurant. Their scallion pancakes are excellent. It has very good service, is clean (including the bathroom), is comfortable, nicely decorated with a fountain in the lobby and has superb food.
