Re: General IN-N-OUT

I have been to two excellent In-N-Out's in CA, Vacaville and L.A., but here in Reno the restaurants are big disappointments. The beef tastes weird and the fries are only so-so. I won't have a car next time I'm at DL so no Double Double Animal style burger for me.

The other restaraunts in town, right? Because you were aware of this one, right? (Darn, but they've been SUPER BUSY...)

http://www.in-n-out.com/location_details.asp?id=186

Store 186 -
8215 S. Virginia
Reno, Nevada 89511

If it tastes funny, call the Main Office, they want to know. It's family owned, and if someone up there is slacking they'll get on it...

Yup. That one and this one- (Mega Busy?)

Store 445
280 Pyramid Way
Sparks, Nevada 89431

Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m.-1:00 a.m.
Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m.-1:30 a.m.

Thanks for the suggestion Bruce. I'll let the Main Office know about the decline in quality here. I was wondering if it was still family owned especially now that they are expanding soooooo fast.

Look at the timeline. Took them 10 years to get to three stores, and decades more to get to 18. And all of a sudden (last 10 years or so) they're at 221 if I counted the list right - I'd say that's a classic example of "getting busy"...

Anyone know which existing In-N-Outs were part of the original 18? Especially if any of them still have their original buildings, instead of having been torn down and "modernized."

Vacaville's is quite nice, one of the better parking lots. Rohnert Park's has an awful parking lot, only about 10 spaces and its constantly full, actually keeps me from going there too often (which is a probably a good thing)

Ha, see that's assumin' that I own a car... quite a long ride out on public transportation to get to that store, it's a little easier to just get to the one in SF for me.

Anywho, regarding the paper wrappin': I'm glad we folks who grow up with the original In-N-Out still have some secrets & I ain't sharin'.

The original In-N-Out will eventually be turned into a Museum/Store.

we tried them, and I'm still trying to figure out why people think they're so good.... same as most burgers in my book, but then again, I'm used to a fair dinkum aussie works burger (with lettuce, tomato, grated carrot, beetroot, meat, fried egg, bacon, fried onion and pineapple)

Re: General IN-N-OUT

Growing up right next to IN N OUT and also having had family members and friends work for the company I can honestly say I'm so tired of that place. I think Fat Burger is much better. At Fat Burger I get a Double Chili Cheese burger with Grilled onions and a fried egg on top. Although Animal style fries are the greatest fries on earth.
