I like em both! I love burgers. What can I say? In n Out and Fatburger are both top notch quick stop burger joints.

Re: General IN-N-OUT

The only problem I have with In-n-Out is that there is nothing In-n-Out about them, Every time I get amped up to enjoy In-n-Out, there must be a 30 minute wait, that kills it for me.
And In-n-Out is truly the only fast food burger that gets compared to pub burgers, you never hear anyone say, "Carls Jr is good but it aint no restaurant burger" So I guess thats a huge compliment to In-n-Out.

In n Out isn't very In n Out sometimes, but they are still faster than most other fast food places, especially given all their stuff is pretty fresh.

I went in today, I got number 92 and they were on number 79. I maybe waited 10-15 minutes for my food, which is no biggy for me. Though by the time I left they were on number 15 and the line was out the door, and if I saw that I'd probably find somewhere else to eat.

We don't have In-N-Out here, but I will agree Fatburger is good. There's one about 5 minutes or so from where I live. I remember when they were building it, my BF was really excited because he lived in LA for 5 or 6 years and ate at Fatburger a lot. I love the Fat Fries.

Re: General IN-N-OUT

I haven't seen an IN-N-OUT commercial on TV for years. Can anyone remember seeing one lately?

Re: General IN-N-OUT

I don't think I have ever seen an In-N-Out commercial. Btw, after a two year abstinence due to a seeming decline in quality, I did get to eat a double-double recently and it was Delicious! Faith restored.

Re: General IN-N-OUT

The last In n Out commercial i remember is the one where they brag about not having heat lamps. "we got not HEAT LAMPS... or MICROWAVES". Something like that. But judging from how successful each location is, do you think they need more than just a billboard on the side of the freeway?

Re: General IN-N-OUT

I've never seen an In n Out commercial. Only ad I've seen is a billboard on the freeway before the one in Vacaville. The burger on the billboard looks nasty compared to the actual burgers.

Re: General IN-N-OUT

One would suppose that with all the hub-bub about the dangers of trans fats that IN-N-OUT would've gotten rid of the trans fat content in their food by now like many other fast-food restaurants, but they haven't. I just finished studying one of their nutritional info pamplets and there's a full 1 gram of trans fat in their Vanilla & Chocolate Shakes and the Double-Double. Medical experts say the only safe amount of trans fats is NO trans fats. Now why is IN-N-OUT being so unconcerned about this?

Re: General IN-N-OUT

I love, or love to hate, that myth that In-N-Out is the healthier, or not as bad, choice of fast food out there. I hear this all the time as more of an excuse to eat there. Where in reality it is just as bad of a place to eat as any other fast food location. It is one of those word of mouth things that gets thought of as the truth when heard from a friend.
