I have recently become addicted to IHOP; I love breakfast food but never ordered it at diners like Denny's because it wasn't up to my standards. But since I'e had an IHOP breakfast meal, my hope for restaurant breakfast food has been restored!
I'm writing because this because there are two IHOPs on Harbor boulevard, only a few blocks apart. I have been to both very recently, and (not surprisingly) there was a big price difference!
At both places I ordered the all-you-can-eat pancake special, (regular). I believe the price at the IHOP directly across the street from DL (just south of Disney Way) was 10.99, and that the price at the other IHOP, a couple of blocks south, was either 7.99 or 8.99! (I have also ordered this same order in Whittier for 5.99)
I just wanted to let everyone know about this price difference, in case both are accessible for you and you want to save a few bucks. Both IHOPs were equal (to me) in terms of food quality and service; the more expensive one was also more busy due to its DL proximity.
(OT: I went to my local IHOP in Orange for the free pancake day fundraiser this month, and even though the website said it lasted until 10pm, the Orange IHOP employees said they stopped at 4pm, and that they could do that because they are a franchise. I understand the franchise concept, and the "participating restaurants only" thing, but it was not stated at all on the site that the TIMES could be different at different IHOPs, and there was no place on the site where you could find out if your local IHOP was even participating. Even though my local IHOP in Orange is cheaper than both in Anaheim, they piss me off!)
