Best Bar/Pub near or at the resort?

So where is the best place to grab a drink when visiting the resort? Anything worth while around the area?

Re: Best Bar/Pub near or at the resort?

I'm a fan of Bubba Gump Shrimp at the new Garden Walk. Most of the places in the area by Disney is very touristy so I personally don't hang out right around the park.

Some suggestions that are in the neighboring areas:
Azteca Restaurant & Crooners Lounge in Garden Grove (www.aztecamex.com) This is a fun place especially during Karoke night when Uber-Elvis impersonators come out to compete.

The Juke Joint Bar & Grill in Anaheim is one of the few places close to D-land that I've been to and enjoy.

Downtown Fullerton is probably the best in bars/pubs. Not only does the neighborhood have a wide variety of restaurants but its definately the hoppin neighborhood on a weekend. My favs: Slidebar, Heroes, the Continental Room and the Commonwealth.

If you like dive bars (which who doesn't?) with clean bathrooms, Good Old Boys on Katella between Euclid and Magnolia... I want to say closer to Euclid, near Nutwood. It's like 4 miles from the parks.

On-Site I like the Cove Bar or Hearthstone. I don't really care for Lost Bar.

Off-Site ... usually my hotel room.

I'll throw in another vote for Cafe TuTu Tango at The Block at Orange.
There's also a fantasssstic dueling piano bar called The Rockin' Taco in downtown Fullerton. (Maybe 10 minutes from the park.)

Want a good beer? Head down to JT Schmid's across from the Pond. Beer is made right there and, IMO, have the best IPA ever.

Captain Bombay's is a cool little dive bar down Katella, just a mile or so. I know a lot of CM go there after (before??) work. For those of you will a hard core drinking problem, drive about 20 minutes to Newport and go to the Beach Ball. It opens at 6am and closes at 2am. I am ashamed to admit, but I have been there at 6am and watched the sun come up as I drank whiskey & coke.

I was just looking at the menus at the Azteca restaurant you mentioned but when you go to look at locations it doesn't show any in California. Is that the right website?

I like Uva Bar in Downtown Disney. Get there early enough and it's not crowded. It's a great place to people watch and enjoy the atmosphere.
