It's the one place I haven't eaten at yet so i can't help except to say that many others on MC have talked it up so it should be good.

I have found the food to be decent. I have enjoyed my visits there. I haven't been there since 11/06 so I can't comment on prices.

It's okay... The menu leaves some stuff to be desired. It's fun for little ones (or taking your uncle on his birthday to embarrass the turd out of him). I've been there like 3 or 4 times and twice gotten kinda' sick.

I've never gotten sick from any food at the parks.

Ariel's Grotto has mediocre food at inflated prices, but you're paying for a sit-down meal where the princesses are guaranteed to come to your table for a couple of minutes, an autograph, and a photo. You can't get that experience anywhere else unless you want to wait in long lines somewhere in the park.

If you want to have some time with the 'hottie hot hots', as the Boy Wonder calls the princesses, Ariel's Grotto is the way to go.

    Kids love the food there.

I was there in December with my son, mom, and dad. We had a very nice lunch. My parents had the fish and chips and my son and I have the burgers. It is spendy but you are there for the characters. Even my son like meeting the princesses and getting pictures with them. He (11) was treated very much like a prince and had a great time. We saw Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora at our table and met with Ariel when we first entered for lunch.

I've been there twice, it's fun with kids.
The food is "decent" but I don't think I would really recommend anyone to go there just because there are better places in the park to eat.

I was there in January and loved it. It was my first time and my cousin and I really liked the food. We didn't like the price and my cousin kinda got dragged there and wasn't impressed with the princesses but she got a free meal so she was fine with that. I loved it and can't wait to go back. All the little kids there seemed to enjoy it as well.

How does it compare to Goofy's Kitchen?

Re: What is the food like and price of Ariel's Grotto?

We went in September and loved the experience. The prices about 25 dollars for adults and 19 for kids. It is a three course sit down dinner. The food was okay but the service was great and the princesses were wonderful. We saw 5 of them when we went. They come to your table individually and you get one on one experience with each for photo ops and autographs. As I am writing this I asked my son who is 16 if he liked going to Ariel's Grotto and he said yes he did. This last time we went to DLR we went in March and went to Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza. No princesses but my 7 yr old at the time, Now 8 yrs old, daughter loved it just as much. We have also done Goofy's kitchen in 2002 and loved that as well. It all depends on what type of experience you want and what type of food. Minnie's is a buffet breakfast and so was goofy's kitchen. Ariel's was a three course dinner with wait on you service. I would do any of them again. By the way you can get the menu on line.
google Disneyland restraunt menus. Hope this helps.

In general, DLR food is not the best. I would save your best meals for restaurants off property or in Gardenwalk.

I've been a few times, but it's been at least 4 years since our last visit. The service was always great and the characters were always very attentive.

The food there is mediocre at best, and definitely pricey for what you get. You're not going to have a fine dining experience there - but the service is pretty good and the princesses are quite nice.
