Thanks ALIASd, I can't say I'm surprised, the times are pretty hard for retail, especially if its more high end, the food and entertainment always seemed like it would have a far easier time catching on at AGW. It seems like DTD is having some of the same problems but to a lesser extent.

NEWS UPDATE:

Some new stores and eateries have opened since I have last been on.
I will no longer continue to check for updates every few weeks; I will add new information every few months or so. Thanks and please check out the OP whenever you want.

It's amazing what Micechat can do. For example, in this case, give me information about opening dates for a construction project involved in a large complex multi-party lawsuit. Usually I have to draft interrogatories and wait 35+ days for the answer. Bravo, Micechat!

I really wish this mall would do better... the theatre there is fab and the bar louies buckets are great! I mean a bucket of beers for 5 bux not bad!!

They're starting to build a new rest. called Fire and Ice near the theatre and it's suppose to be like a mongolian place,

The place is fantastic for restaurants and movies. On a busy night it is 100x better than Downtown Disney. The retail portion needs some rejuvenation though... unfortunately that will only come with a rejuvenation of the economy. I just hope this place is resiliant enough to get through it! Part of me wants it to remain slow, because that's part of what makes it a great place to go! But part of me also worries about the business it's doing.

I agree, far superior to Downtown Disney. I know the shops are pretty bad but it seems like it's getting better. I also hope it's resiliant enough to survive, cause this is def. my new place to see movies now.
Cheesecake Factory and the other resturaunts on the outside are always packed but it seems no one makes it pass there to see Bar Louies or the theatre or even Johnny Rockets!

Re: Anaheim GardenWalk Progress Thread

Had dinner at Johnny Rockets tonight, and it was packed (but it was basically folks waiting to see the new Star Trek at Cinema Fusion next door).
