Re: Anaheim GardenWalk Progress Thread

Great work, FutureImagineer. I've promoted Gardenwalk since day one - and remain excited. It will be one of the first places that I hit during my next visit. I plan to take in a meal or two, bowl - possibly even take in a show.

I have confidence that this sluggish economy can greatly improve within the next four years - and that the majority of DLR guests will eventually learn the way to GW (and love it!).

According to the rates on that page, a single game of bowling for two people including shoes is $30. This might be why nobody is bowling there!

Thanks! And if the GardenWalk can hold up until Disney finally builds the third park in the strawberry fields, then all Disney guests will know where it is and the place will start getting busy. A lot of people will be walking thru the GardenWalk to reach the third park. But until then, hopefully they'll stay alive.

Re: Anaheim GardenWalk Progress Thread

If Pumba gets turned into a parking structure soon, that will also help give AGW a great deal with visibility amongst resort guests. I think once the cheap AP's come back from the summer blockout, that could really help with business as well. Hopefully they will resolve the issues as to whether it is going to be sold, and get the hotels started soon too.

Re: Anaheim GardenWalk Progress Thread

that's another good point Uncle Bob, if that parking structure is built and highly used (not just overflow) then gardenwalk will get more business

Thank you for the info. You must be affiliated with the GardenWalk. Do you know if it will be regarding the whole complex or just the hotels. If you can't provide anymore information, it's okay. Thanks again.

Re: Anaheim GardenWalk Progress Thread

News Update:

Hi everyone, I enjoying a nice trip to Florida. Unfortunately, I've got no time for Disney World. But I still have some news about the GardenWalk.

Minor news:
Some of the "Not Yet Open" venues have new expected opening dates. All previous events and upcoming openings have not changed.

Major news:
Thanks to InsiderAGW, I have received some information about plans between the GardenWalk and Disney. An official announcement will be made in mid-October discussing any plans between the Anaheim GardenWalk and the Disney Company.

So with this amazing news coming up, all I can say is let's wait and see what happens. I'll be back with more info.

It will be in reference to the hotel, but it will affect the whole complex since the projected timeline of the beginning of the construction for both hotel and timeshare will be at the beginning of the year, unless negotiations pushes it back further. I am confident that the announcement will occur sooner or later. At this time, I don't want to divulge at what level I am associated with AGW since there are a small number of individuals that have access to inside information. I can say that I do participate in the daily activities at the AGW. If you have any questions, please do so and I will try to answer your questions if I can.

Thanks, InsiderAGW

Thanks a lot for what you're doing! So I have a few questions.
Are there going to be 1, 2, or 3 hotels?
Are the owners of the GardenWalk considering selling the whole complex?
If so, is Disney considering to buy it?

Thanks for your help so far!

It depends on the original plans it is listed as three hotels, but plans that has been submitted to the city calls for 2 hotels with a possible expansion to 3 hotels. There are alot of variables to consider and the last few questions you there are no concrete answers at this time.
