Gracie, I am so glad you enjoyed this! I was really looking forward to it, but it is now closed for when we are though. That is alright, my DH is already talking about reserving seats the next time we go......and we haven't even got through this trip yet!!

When are you going? Too bad you will miss it, but just being there is fantasmic in itself! lol

I meant to say also, that we went to the podium where they assign seats at about 7:15 just to check out how it all works, and people were already in line...probably about 10. If I remember right, the podium is by the churro cart kind of across from french market. So one of stood in line while the other took turns doing some nearby shopping. At 8:00 they start assigning seats and put your seat numbers on your ticket. Then at 8:30 they start seating and then bring your drinks and dessert trays.

DH and I had just had a wonderful dinner at Blue Bayou so werent ready for more food. We took most of it back to our room and put it in the fridge and snacked on it over the next few days.

Like I've said, ps for Fantasmic is pricey, but worth it at least once. We are beginning to plan a fall trip, and will probably do the ps again

Re: Fantasmic Seating?

We went last spring break and I loved it. I didn't want to spend/waste time holding a spot for great viewing. Our hostess was fantastic and she made the event even more fun. She ran a contest and made a big deal out of my kids birthdays. It was a good time! I just bugeted as part of the "cost of Trip" and didn't worry about it.
Here is a link to my picks of the food...the food was delish! And the Beverages kept coming!

Re: Fantasmic Seating?

Is there any special seating for current shows, like the fireworks?

Re: Fantasmic Seating?

was it a pain to have to wait until seating? Did you see if there was a place for a wheel chair or scooter ( moms going to need one) and if thats a good view?
One trip report said they had to line up 1 hour before and wait until seated.

You don't HAVE to be there early with reserved seating. However your placement is first come first serve, therefore the line. We were approx #10 in line and got great seats in the front row.

Any seat is a good seat. However if you have small kids, that may be an issue with seeing over the person in front of them if you are in row 2 or 3, etc.

I didn't notice any wheelchair area, however I am sure there is one. Good question to ask when you call. Wheelchair might automatically get you in front....??

Re: Fantasmic Seating?

can you make "reservations" BEFORE the day you are wanting to attend? or do you have to be there first thing in the morning to get the "reservation"?

If you make the reservation the day before you plan to go, then you may be out of luck since seating is very limited. You can call and book 30-days before the day you want to see Fantasmic! For example, if you want to see the show on June 16th, then the earliest you can book is May 16th. You should try to book as soon as you can within the 30-day reservation window.

Hope that helps!

You will need to call Disney at their "tour" number, which is 714-781-4400. When you make the reservation you will have to provide a credit card number and they will charge your card immediately for the reservation. Also, I believe it it nonrefundable and non transferable. On the day of your Fantasmic reservation, you need to go to the Guest Services booth outside of the park (on the left side of Disneyland's entrance) and pick up your tickets. You will need to show proof of your identity and I think show them the same credit card you used to make the reservation. (This protects you and Disney from someone else getting the tickets you paid for.) This is the process if your not staying onsite at one of the Disneyland hotels.

Re: Fantasmic Seating?

I bought prefered seating one year and it wasn't worth it. Fantasmic Disneyland is the best show at DLR and we will usually get there about an hour early and find a resonable seat at no charge.
