    Scared of Hollywood Blvd. Characters?

Similiar poll to the Disney Costumed characters:

Do the costumed characters that are found along Hollywood Blvd. scare you?

In case you don't know what I'm talking about, there are many costumed characters that are actually a lot of time unemployed people posing as your favorite movie characters along Hollywood blvd. These people line the streets hoping people would give them some money in exchange for having a picture taken with them.

    Here are some images:

If you have any bad or good experiences with them please post them here as well

I don't go to Hollywood Blvd. I've also never been scared of costumed characters. That would fall under "psychological disorders." Get her help.

Re: Scared of Hollywood Blvd. Characters?

Haha, looks like my remarks in the Disney character thread spawned this one out of you!

If you do take photos with Harry Potter or Spider Man or Marilyn Monroe or Darth Vader along Hollywood Blvd, just be careful as some of them can be quite rude and demand payment. Not taking photos with them would seem the more prudent route.

For even more scares, try the non costumed characters in Hollywood! While it has cleaned up considerably in the past few years, I'd still rather take my family (which I don't actually have) to Universal Studios Hollywood.

ya.. hollywood is free though and real.. (even though it is tinsel town and the actual glitzyness of it is fake - what a crazy oxymoron) . As opposed to universal studios, which is just a bunch of pretend movie sets. Hollywood is pretty historical too: The Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theatre & Forecourt (http://www.seeing-stars.com/immortal...orecourt.shtml), El Capitan, Egyptian theatre, Kodak Theatre (even though it's new)

haha ya I thought of that too when I was putting up the poll.. I think a freaky person would try to rob you in general. Is there anyway to edit a poll?

What it comes down to is this: I only have 3 hours that I'll be in Hollywood. Do I spend the 3 hours in Universal studios where I have to pay $100 for 2 tickets, or do I spend the 3 hours in Hollywood where I can go for free.

In Amsterdam there is a big square in the centre of town where even creepier (and, to be honest, fatter) fake characters stand around on boxes waiting for people to have photos taken with them. They were horrible! and creepy!

3 hours? Columbia Bar And Grill. Maybe you'll see someone famous. No guarantees.

Otherwise, simply ignore all those desperate folks in costumes.

Hollywood hasn't been the same since C.C. Brown's (sundae shop) was torn down.

Columbia Bar and Grill closed years ago and became Pinot.

    Here's the thing:

Drive thru Hollywood on your way to The Grove where you will see someone famous shopping. And yes it costs actually money to park there. Park on Fairfax where you can do it for change. Or go to a FREE TV game show taping across the way at CBS and park there for FREE.

You should be more scared of your need to create the next horrifying stretch for thread topics. Many here probably already are.

I do find it funny that no one here likes them... I bet some foreigners like them, who don't know that they carry guns and cocaine under their capes

Excellent point and one that should be taken. I've taken vistors from mexico to see hollywood and when we encounter these "characters" at first they act nice, but then they start asking for payment. One time me and my sister almost go into a fight with one of these characters all becuase they wanted some sort of "reward" because they look excately like marilyn monroe and that is the closet we will get to be with her.

Just ingore them and keep walking.

sorry i didn't use the quote.
