Question Anahaim Train Station at Night

Does anyone know how safe the Amtrak Anaheim train station is at night. My daughter and I are arriving on a Sunday night at around 11:00pm. The train station is closed at 10:30pm and I am wondering how safe it is for two women to arrive late at night?

We are planning on taking a taxi from the train station to our hotel. Are taxi's usually waiting at the station?

Thanks

Karen

It is safe, out in the open and well lit. It's actually in the parking lot of the baseball stadium. It is much safer at night than Union Station in LA. I would call ahead and arrange for a taxi to be waiting for you. There won't be one there automatically, but if you make a reservation you'll be in good shape.

Because you wouldn't take the train in the day time either, I presume.

I live in Newport Beach. The drive to the Irvine train station is just as far as the drive to Disneyland. I could drive to the Santa Ana station but if I do that I might as well just drive the short extra distance to the park.

So I guess you presumed right.

I think its safe. its only a short distance from DLR...that part of town is pretty nice. you could call a cab with your cell phone before you arrive so its there when you get there.

It's fine. I've done it by myself and would do it again. I did have my sister pick me up but even if I had to wait a little bit it I'm sure it would be fine.

If you are coming from the North (LA) I recommend the Fullerton Station over the Anaheim Station. The Anaheim Station is in the middle of the Angel Stadium Parking lot, aka, middle of nowhere.

Coming from the south, I prefer the Santa Ana Station over Anaheim.

All stations will have Taxi's in front of the station.
