    tips/experiences with LA Metro 460?

Hola Micechat! It's been a while!

I am planning to sell my car soon and I've been looking into alternative ways of getting to the park from West LA.

It looks like taking the Metro 460 from downtown is the best option, but I'm wondering if anyone has any first hand experiences with it. Is it safe? Is it efficient?

I'm not too worried about the ride there, but it seems like the trip back could get creepy...

    Thanks!!!!

Ive ridden it many times, never once have I felt unsafe. Efficient? HELL NO! It takes 90 - 120 mins to go from Downtown LA to Disneyland. But for $5.80 round trip, I guess you get what you pay for.

If possible, to reduce travel time in the morning, you can take OCTA 721 bus from Downtown LA to Fullerton Park and Ride. From there you connect to the 460 to Disneyland. Its more expensive but it will shave an hour off your travel time. This is only possible on weekdays.

    Orange County Transportation Authority

Another option is to go to LA Union Station and take either MetroLink or Amtrak train to Fullerton or Anaheim Station, then connect to one of the buses that takes you directly to the park.

Not sure exactly where you are in West LA. If you're near Westwood, you can take Flyaway to LAX, then Disneyland Express to Disneyland.

Disneyland express stops running a little early at night.

I dunno. I've taken the 460 to DLR, but from the Norwalk Green Line Station. My advice is to check if you are near a bus line that goes to LAX. You would then take the Green Line to the end and transfer to Metro 460 to DLR.

    OK, here's a crazy idea:
    1. Metro Blue Line South to Long Beach, to PCH stop.
    2. LB Bus #173 east to Studebaker Road.
    3. Bus turns north at Studebaker; get off at Willow Street.
    4. Get on OCTA Bus #50 going east on Willow; Willow becomes Katella.
    5. Get off at Disneyland.

Here is the Blue Line schedule:
    http://media.metro.net/riding_metro/...images/801.pdf
    You're getting off at PCH.
About 40 minutes from LA 7th Street/Metro Center stop.
Last train is at 2:21 from Willow, so a few minutes before from PCH.

    Here is LB transit map:
    http://www.lbtransit.com/Schedules/pdf/map_system.pdf
On the right side of this map is El Dorado Golf Course. Just north of that is a small triangle with "OCTA #50" above it. This connection is at Willow/Studebaker.

    Here is the 173 schedule:
    Long Beach Transit | 172, 173, 174 PCH - Palo Verde / Studebaker / Ximeno
You're getting on at Long Beach Blvd and PCH.
    20-30 minutes.
LAST BUS IS 11:51 AT ATHERTON/STUDEBAKER. WEAKEST LINK HERE!

    Here is the OCTA map:
    OCTA Map
Find 50, follow it to the left to Studebaker.
    40-50 minutes.
    Here is the #50 schedule:
    http://www.octa.net/eBusBook/RoutePDF/route050.pdf
LAST BUS WESTBOUND TO CATCH THE LB173 IS THE 10:34PM BUS.

    Plus waiting.
All these are late-night transit, but they run only hourly.

Oh, and no guarantees of safety. I have no information about that, good or bad.

So, hmm, LA #460 is probably a lot easier than that.
