    Driving to Bakersfield and back

I'll be in Anaheim later this month and am thinking of visiting a friend in Bakersfield. Is going up there and back down to OC too much for one day? I'm limited to going on a Monday and/or Tuesday, and could stay overnight up there if necessary. Thanks for your feedback!

It's around a three hour trip each way, give or take traffic and depending on what time you go. We used to do it when we lived in Fresno and we were visiting family in Los Angeles or Orange County, so it's not impossible. And it's definitely not as bad as, oh, say, driving further north to Sacramento or San Francisco.

Leave Anaheim before 6AM. Leave Bakersfield after 7PM.
