If you look quick, you can see me at #2 in this group. Just wait until Florida State and Wake Forest kick in...then I'll be headed straight back down. I didn't think UCLA had enough in their tank this year to get them past Villanova, so I'm glad I went in that direction. I have USC going down to Michigan State, but after last night, I'm not sure that was the right call. We'll see.
In any case, if I can see more games go into double overtime with crazy clutch shots like those by Sienna, I don't mind going down in flames. Awesome games last night, and I'm hoping for more today and tomorrow. UConn and Memphis are looking like they'll be tough to beat so far...
Kudos to USC for over-acheiving at the end, after under-acheiving most of the season.
And I'm not suggesting that UCLA would have beaten Villanova, anywhere, this year.
And pardon if this has been brought up before if this has been brought up before here.
But how is it that the committee had Villanova playing its first two rounds in the Philadelphia Wachovia Center, referred to in their media guide as their "home away from home", where they have a permanent locker room?
That is not the same, at all, as UCLA playing in the Honda Center (as in last year).
This is not meant as an excuse for UCLA. It is meant to point out an absolute joke.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
