Radio station 830 AM is reporting that Angels starting pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a hit-and-run crash early this morning in Fullerton.

Very tragic news.

and this is on top of the Angels fan that died from a scuffle at the park on opening day.

OMG. I cannot believe this. He just pitched last night. I'm at at a loss for words. This news is horrible.

May God be with him and his family during this terrible, terrible time.

From what I read, a minivan ran a red light and hit 2 cars.

He was only 22.

Anybody else in SoCal noticing an increasing trend of Hit and Run accidents the past few weeks? There is a new one on the news almost every day.

My heart goes out to his family and the angels organzation. From what I've seen in the news right now..it was stupid drunk driver who ran the red light. I hope he gets a long sentence for killing three innocent people.

I couldn't believe it either... I saw the news report on the crash this morning, but at that time they never mentioned there was an Angels player involved. Then come to find out it was Adenhart involved... I was at a loss for words.

There will be a news conference at 10:30 a.m. PT by Angels management and the Fullerton PD.

This is absolutely TERRIBLE.

I was at the game last night and he was absolutely amazing, he was on the road to Glory!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Adenhart family and the Angels organization. Very sad news.

Him pitching a great game last night was very fitting. I know that's the last thing on everyone's minds, but he got to pitch one last time.
