He'll get better. Remember, he doesn't have the greatest corps of wide receivers in the world to throw to.

If I were a Bears fan, I'd be much more concerned about not having Brian Urlacher maybe out for the rest of the season with a wrist injury.

It has just been announced that Urlacher had surgery this morning, and he is indeed out for the entire year. What a difference a day makes.

I did not just see Tom Brady and the Patriots just pull off two touch downs in the final 3 minutes to win that game.

Wait a second. That ball hit the ground.

Any other Charger fans sweating bullets?

Man, I knew Oakland was gonna be difficult, but man...

It's a win, but man that was an ugly game. Need to get that fixed, 4th Quarter Offense needs to play like that all game. Same problem we had last year.

Let's face it, the Chargers got whipped everywhere but on the scoreboard. And if Jamarcus Russell could hit the broad side of a barn with 90 per cent of his passes, the outcome is different.

This Raider team could be a six to eight win team this year.

And I was driving, listening to the Buffalo Bills call at the end of the first game.

Talk about from the penthouse, to the outhouse.

The Patriots and Chargers fans sweated bullets, and dodged a few. But as is usually the case, the good teams find a way to win.

I couldn't believe my eyes that I actually saw the raiders play...dare I say..good football? (offensive could use a bit more tweaking,,but the defense really surprised me)

Re: Let's Talk Football

Yeah....that was probably one of the ugliest Charger wins in recent memory. Kudos to the Raiders for coming out with that kind of energy. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but the Charger D Line looks WORSE than last year...even with Merriman back in. And Rivers still has no protection. Sproles continues to be the biggest man on that team. What does it say when LT gets bumped into and goes out of the game, and Sproles gets HAMMERED multiple times and bounces back for the touch down run at the end?

I think I could go the rest of the season without needing to see another run up the middle by LT. That ship has sailed.

Re: Let's Talk Football

First off ... congrats to my SF 49ers for beating the defending NFC Champs. They finally completed the win they could have had on that Monday night last year.

Secondly, if the Buffalo guy takes a knee on the last kick-off ... the Patriots lose. Granted, I HATE Terrell Owens, so I'm okay with the outcome.

Thirdly, if the officials don't blow that call before the half on the Raiders/Chargers game (the end-zone call) then it's possible the Chargers lose. Granted, I HATE the Raiders, so I'm okay with the outcome.

I guess 'technically' he did not control the ball all the way to the turf - but he got both feet down and desrved the TD. They were really splitting hairs on that call.

Maybe the refs felt they owed us one after the Ed 'Hulkman' Hochuli call last year.

I'll take the win though!

I disagree. I think the Raider 'offensive' is right up there.

LT isn't what he used to be, everyone can see that, but I think he can still be effective on a rotation. Despite all the bad, he still managed a 4.2 yard average and a TD.

My biggest concern now is the O-Line, way too many injuries

They should have kept Garcia in my opinion.
