Dont you know what TBS stands for? The Boston Sox Network!

And it was a treat hearing Vin Scully today!

I know the guy they've had on the Angel series is a Red Sox announcer.
But I don't think he's been biased. Just dull, drab.

And yes, I know the franchise is called Los Angeles (please, let's not re-open that worm can) but sometimes they seemed to forget they weren't actually in Los Angeles.

There was a nice blimp shot of what was clearly DCA ("Mickey's Fun Wheel" was in the center of the shot) and they called it Disneyland. But we're splitting hairs there, I guess.

Yes, Dodgers won! Now, lets hope the Angels finish off the Red Sox too tomorrow.

I am putting my vote in for ANGELS!!! I think they may have their focus on and if they just keep that focus and not get ahead of themselfs, they could get it.

I am with you there. I want to see a sweep of the Sox tomorrow! Keep the focus and they can do it.

The Red Sox are too good of a team to even give a ray of hope to. I'm sure Mike Sciosia, with the approach he's used all these years, will have em focused on tomorrow's game and tomorrow's game only.

And I'm sure Mike has em all tucked in their beds in their hotel in Boston, getting lots of sleep with visions of the Green Monster in their heads.

9AM Pacific start tomorrow, Angel fans. Set your alarms.

I am so glued to my tv tomorrow for it. My friend said that they are in it to win it, not only for the fans, but for Nick as well. I think they are going to fight hard tomorrow and even if we don't win tomorrow (which I am not saying they will loose) we will still fight all the way.

The same thing was going on with the Dodgers game tonight. It wasn't how the Dodgers WON the series, but how the Cardinals LOST the series. Sickens me. Even if it was the other way around, give the winning team some credit.

Re: It's Playoff Time! The 2009 Official Baseball Post-Season Thread

I know its been a while since I posted in here. A life long Dodger Fan and it has been a long 21 years since the Dodgers have been to the World Series. I dont want to just go ahead and jinx the Dodgers, I know the NLCS stands in the away right now. We were this close last year and lost to the Phillys in the NLCS. I think most of us Dodger Fan's are dreaming of a World Series with Yankees. Most people here in Los Angeles want the Freeway Series. Most true Dodger Fans know the Dodgers and Yankees have meet 11 times in the WS. Out of that 11 the Dodgers have only won 3. This is like the Lakers and the Celtics. All that History goes back to 1941 and remember that was the Year Jumping Joe went on his 52 game hitting streak. In 1981 the last time they faced each other the Dodgers had the last win. I cannot forget the 70's and the 2 WS losses to the Yankees. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than for Joe Torre to outmanage Joe Girardi and win the World Series! That would definitely be "thumbing ones nose" at the Steinbrenners.

Good gome for the Dodgers for sure. After beating Carperter and surviving Wainwright, they had it in the bag. Why am I still worried about the Angels' series? Up 2-0 I should be extremely confident....right???

Joe Torre manage.... I haven't seen him do that since 1999.

BTW, congratulations to the Dodgers as the first team in the Championship Series.

No, you shouldn't be worried. If the Angels play like they did in Game 1& 2 they should win Game 3.

If the Sox hit like they did in the first 2 games we're safe. Something tells me their bats are going to be angry tomorrow.

Did not expect the Cardinals to get swept out in the first round, but they never found their offensive groove. Congrats to the Dodgers.

Go Angels tomarrow!!!

Gee, there's been someone else here that's been trying to sell that theory, for a while now. Hope you have better luck.
