Here's to a sweep of the Yankee next weekend.

C'mon, do you really think the Twins have it in 'em do go three in a row? Although I would favor them as my baseball Gods forever if they could.

Great job guys, and good luck.
And FREQ, I don't remember how old you are, but to do it on the day that Dave Henderson threw out the first pitch, and the whole two-out, two-strike ninth inning thing, just made it so much sweeter for me.

This season's all about NickAdenhart.
But for me, this moment's about Donnie Moore.

You should have seen me. I had my arms raised. I was singing Angels We Have Heard On High and thinking the whole time of poor Nick Adenhart. I didn't think of Donnie Moore, but I am sure he had a hand in it too...

I'd like to think they helped us out a bit today...

When I saw Henderson throw out the first pitch, do his little dance and point to the Angels dugout, I was in shock at the total lack of class. I'm all for good natured ribbing, but this was beyond that. What lovely karma that we should win today, down two runs in on our last strike in the 9th.

I hate having to wait so long for the next round of games but I'm pretty anxious. Great matchup, hopefully now that the Angels beat the Red Sox for once they can continue their dominations of the Yanks. Should be an awesome series.

I think it will be a good series; 6 or 7 games. But the Angels were anything but dominate this year against the Yankees. The season series was tied at 5-5 with the Yankees winning the last 3 out of 4. But I'll say it again, I don't think the regular season standings are relevant in the post season. Winning this series is going to come down to who pitches the best and masters the fundamentals.

There is absolutely no reason why they should have to wait five days before playing te next round, except for the fact that that's when FOX or whomever wants to schedule it, and God forbid that baseball or any other sports league not have television tell them how to conduct their business.

The only reason I see against seeing them starting on Tuesday is what if the Colo/Phil series goes 5 games. Then the Yank/Angel series goes 4 and the following NL series goes 7 games. That could mean the AL team would have the wait over a week to play. Doesn't seem fair if that happens.

C'mon Rockies! (And yes, it makes me a little ill to root for them, but I would much rather face them than the Phillies. We've had their number all year.)

I would say Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. But Friday? Geez. And I believe the NLCS is scheduled to start Thursday.

We'll have quite a while to discuss and dissect this upcoming series. But I'll say this much.

Just as the Angels proved that the past meant nothing in finally shaking off the Red Sox, it also means nothing regarding their past success against the best team money can buy.

This is the best and most loaded Yankees team in several years. And even A-Rod is contributing this postseason. That's a scary good team the Angels will face in the next round.

That's how it went in the 2006 and 2008 postseasons. In 2006, the Tigers swept the A's in the ALCS and had to wait a week to see who they'd be playing in the World Series. And last year, the Phillies won their title, then had to wait for the Rays to battle it out through 7 games. So it's nothing new.
