This year might be the first time that season/post-season football, baseball, hockey and basketball will be played on the same day. Or did that happen last year?
Couple more snow days for Colorado might do the trick. A Sunday in New York City/Philly/Denver area might have all four happening in the same area on the same day. Talk about your Sophie's Choices or gridlock issues.

Cliff Lee dominating the Rockies again. Could be over tonight.
What a nightmare for TBS.
And sure, it makes sense that the NLCS starts Thursday, and the ALCS starts Friday.
And that game 2, in Los Angeles, is at 1:30 Friday afternoon.
It is written in stone somewhere. All games involving the Yankees are to be played in East Coast prime time.
(And yes, I know why that is. People tune in to Yankee games, to either root for them or agin' em. But they're watching.)
I think you could make a case that the Angels and Yankees are the two best teams in baseball, and that the ALCS will be the real World Series.
Thank you POISONEDAPPLES!
I think they said that last year about the ALCS (Phillies WS champs). It was certainly said in 2003 (Marlins WS champs) and 2004 (Sox).
Doesn't seem to affect the NL team too much, though. They can keep on saying it.
I think both league championships will be exciting. However, I will be watching on delay, as I cannot stand the banter-filling and the shots of fans' and dugout dwellers' reactions in between pitches.

My husband always watches the games without the television sound on. He does that with most sports. He says that he doesn't need the announcers telling him what is going on. He can see that for himself.
Winning the World Series is a long and winding road. It ain't what it used to be. It used to be the 2 best teams in all of baseball met at the end, and played a best of 7 series. The victor was crowned the Champion of Baseball. Now it's down to the last team standing out of 8 teams. I guess that's understandable since there are now 30 teams. Matchups are analyzed to death by everyone. What's expected doesn't always happen, and nothing can be taken for granted. It's a way different kettle of fish this "Playoff Season".

Great comeback for the Rockies, that they let Philly tie in the 9th. Let's see if they can hold on and get to the bottom of the 9th tied instead of down.
ETA: Rockies are now down by one ... and the entire nation is now seeing why Dodger fans were so happy when Jim Tracy got let go. Two blown saves by Street now.
