Re: It's Playoff Time! The 2009 Official Baseball Post-Season Thread

As far as night games vs day games overall, I think it's sort of sad that the economics of the game have gotten to the point where they want as many of these as they can in prime time. Baseball did much better, IMHO, when kids could watch the games. And as I said, seeing Sunday's day game at Fenway in HD brought back lots of great memories. Surely, a way can be found to play at least one game of every series during the afternoons?

I'm the lone person from Los Angeles who works with nothing but Die Hard Angel Fans in Irvine.

Discounting the phillies, we have the three top attended teams in Baseball, the following is going to be rabid. It will be a freeway series, with the Dodgers taking it in six.

Yeah, I know I should have looked up when they play instead of posting it first. Anyways I'm going to pray for the Dodgers and Angels.

Pray for something important. God stops listening when you are asking for wins in a game that isn't crucial to man's survival.

Yeah, your right I should be praying for a better cause like for Nick Adenhart. These next games will be challenging for both Angels and Dodgers.

Baseball's scheduling people should be SHOT ... or at the very least fired.

There is no reason we should be waiting another day for baseball. People are going to stop caring VERY quickly. Even my wife was waiting to watch Baseball last night.

And what's worse is WTF is up with a day game in Anaheim on Monday? That game is scheduled to start at 1pm. That ticks me off so much!!!

They are saying Friday's game might be rained out. On the one hand both teams will have had too much rest as it is. On the other hand it may force a rescheduling of the day game in Anaheim on Monday -- one can only hope.

Then they should move the game up to tomorrow to avoid a rain-out on Friday.

And if you look at the weather for NYC, there is Rain from tomorrow until Sunday. WTG scheduling people!!!

For ratings. I believe Monday has a second game, neither of which will be shown opposite MNF.
Most sports junkies will choose MNF, regardless of the teams or the announcers.

Yeah, I agree the game should be moved up a day or two. It might even rain tomorrow or Friday when the Dodgers play. Hmm...nothing on so I guess I'll watch basketball or hockey...two days later oops..I forgot about the baseball game.
