Just got home from work and started watching half-way thru the parade of
nations. Gonna have to watch the re-broadcast at 5:30 to catch the beginning.
I wish I could have seen today's ranking rounds in archery.
Amnesia used to be my favourite word, but I forgot it.
Finally finished the opening ceremonies. That was 4 hours... omg that was long.
i was sort of live tweeting all afternoon during but here's some thoughts.
It was weird. Music not really doing it for me.
Are they breeding Orcs? Oh... it's the Industrial Revolution.
Kids jumping on beds isn't my idea of entertainment.
Voldemort and an army of Mary Poppins... Captain Hook looks terrifying.
Mr. Bean - a highlight
Parade of athletes probably my favorite part because you get to learn about the various countries around the world. Seeing USA was awesome.. over 500 athletes. But not a fan of those berets. Not a fan of the word beret either.
Paul McCartney... turned the place into karaoke night while looking like a muppet show.
Seacrest is out there? wuut.

I really enjoyed it. Was it the best? No, it had some flaws. Really liked the Satanic Mills portion with Kenneth Branagh walking around with a big stogie, the queen being escorted by 007, and Mr. Bean. The children's literature section was interesting. I thought the music thru the ages portion was a little dull. Interesting cauldron.

Soaring like an EAGLE !
Interesting Day 1 results. Sorry Mr. Phelps, no medal for you today.
Good luck to Canada's Clara Hughes tomorrow in the women's road race. Bring home another medal girl! It would be a great follow-up to your bronze in Vancouver and a great wrap-up to a phenomenal Olympic career in both the winter and summer games.![]()
Looks like a rainy day in London today.
Interesting headlines today:

the archery competitions have been incredibly unpredictable. The new format and the unpredictable winds at Lord's have been wreaking havoc on the archers. Lots and lots of upsets, and victories by 1 or 2 points, or even shoot-offs.
Amnesia used to be my favourite word, but I forgot it.
Anyone catch that fiasco in Badminton today? Good for us Canucks!
it's going to be good for most of the other teams, as well. I saw what happened on replays in both matches and it was really quite ludicrous. What's worse is that the South Koreans claimed they did it because the Chinese did it first, so that must make it OK.
