2012 NFL Football Thread - It's playoff time, make your picks!

Wow if the real refs aren't back for week 4.... if people were losing respect before last night's MNF game then the NFL is in for a world of hurt. These owners are out of their minds. I heard on ESPN 710 am on the Mason & Ireland show that the cost of the new union deal with the real Refs equates to a cost of an additional $62K a year per team (32 * $62) = $1.984M. Is it just me or does $2 million seem like pennies compared to the billions of dollars of revenue the generates per year??? Simply unbelievable.

Bears/Cowboys. So far they haven't put me to sleep. I might actually watch this whole Monday Night Football game. My son was surprised that this game was on channel 9 in Chicago.

Nice game from the Bears tonight. Anytime the Cowboys, Raiders or Eagles lose it makes me happy.

Rams and Cardinals tonight! I'll be tuning in even if no one else does. Go Greg Zeurlein! (That would be the Rams' kicker and best player thus far)

I cut my pro football fan teeth on the Los Angeles Rams of the late 60's. I was a diehard fan til Madame Ram moved them to St. Louis in1995. Ever since, I have rooted for them to lose every game. My feelings have softened a bit after Madame Ram's death. But I still think about it when I watch the St. Louis football team. I have picked, and am rooting for, an improved Arizona Cardinal team. It's a matchup of two of the NFL's "carpetbagger" franchises...the Chicago turned St. Louis turned Arizona Cardinals, visiting the Cleveland turned Los Angeles turned St. Louis Rams.

Bears won again. This win was big.

Another Thursday night snoozer tonight. For all you gambling types, my prediction Indy easily covers -3.

Sunday, I was out doing errands, and by the time I got around to turning on the game the Bears score just blew me away. It's nice to have a winning team in Chicago. Let's see just how far this team can go.

Quite a few concussions occurred this week. That's not good for 49er or Bears fans. Plus the Steelers lost Roethlisberger for what looks like a considerable amount of time. Bummer

Kaepernick might just finally turn me into a niner fan...been resisting it for decades but he is such a class act I have to root for him.

Hopefully, "4th and 29" is the straw that will break the camel's back, and lead to the necessary firing of AJ Smith and Norv Turner in San Diego.
