It took me awhile to come back after the last work stoppage. If there is truly another one then I may never come back.

It seems that neither the owners nor the players truly realize what is at stake here. They're insane if they think that the league will bounce back as quickly as it did in '05 if they don't get this deal done in a hurry. At least when hockey resumed after the last lockout, they had the benefit of the rules changes aimed at increasing scoring (legal two line pass, goalie trapezoid, etc.) and the introduction of the shootout . There's not going to be a new product on the ice to bring the fans back that quickly this time around.
Something that's been on my mind for the last few days...
If this lockout lasts all season, does this mean the Stanley Cup will be awarded to a junior team this year? Any one remember that court case from a few years back, (actually, that was back in 2006)? Here's an old article about it on Yahoo:
Report: Fans win battle with NHL over Stanley Cup - NHL - Yahoo! Sports
A few days back I posted a comment about this on an article at CTV'swebsite, and looky what they publish today...
If the NHL won't use it, can Canada have the Stanley Cup back?
No way, Kings get to be Champs for two years. Only good thing about a lockout!
It's still a great game.
Good news now is that I'm not wasting any money or time watching. I have time for other things. (Still no money, though.)

I was really looking forward to seeing Teemu playing most likely his last season. As far as it looks, since today they said they're far in between on a deal. It isn't going to happen anytime soon.
I had a glimmer of hope in the beginning of every thing, but so far if it's still there it's only hanging on by a very thin thread.
Game on!
Finally! Hockey today!
