Although it hurts me to say this, Kershaw pitched a gem. I did think Matt Cain pitched fine though. The runs were scored after he was taken out from the game.

As for Anaheim, what a game they played. Chris Ianetta was clutch in the 13th inning and able to help the Angels win that game!

Thinking of going to the Dodger game tonight. I swore I'd never go to another Dodgers vs Giants game but it's just me and the boy tonight.

Ended up not going last night, thankfully. Going on Saturday though.

Oh, this just in ... there is a reason the Giants are WS Champs.

And a reason the Dodgers missed the playoffs last year. They can't hit! Looks as though the McGwire experiment is not paying dividends. I hope Ethier is traded soon, he stinks

Giants took 2-3 in the series beating Los Angeles 5-3.
Pablo Sandoval and Hunter Pence both were able to
hit homeruns (Pablo's barely landing over) Im happy that the
Giants managed to win the series. Lincecum was not his best although he only gave up a couple of runs. Next series... St. Louis

Angels played pretty well against one of the NL's better teams, on the road...still, I wanted to see something better than 1-2 heading into an early showdown with Texas.
And any no hitter or perfect game against Houston should come with the largest asterisk anyone has ever seen.

Giants shut down the Cardinals today for a great home opener
Zito pitched 7 strong and didnt give up a run.
Only time they scored was a walk with the bases loaded.
    3-1 so far this season.

Well atleast the Guants are winning. I can't say much about my Marlins right now as we're a meager 1-3 getting our first victory today against the Mets.

AT&T Park is celebrating Buster Posey's MVP year and is receiving the award today.
Congrats to him. They play the Cardinals on Fox today.

Which is your favorite baseball park (Major, Minor, Historical, or Spring) ?

The favorite ballpark I've been to is Fenway. I recall walking behind the outside perimeter of the staduim and thinking to myself "holy ****, that's the backside of the green monster!". I've never been, but I do love Camden Yards. I think that park has revolutionized how ballparks are made today and the memories of Ripken breaking Gehrig's record still gives me chills.

Re: The 2013 Major League Baseball Thread

I've only been to the ballparks in CA (not AT&T yet), Turner Field and Arlington.

My favorite is obviously Dodger Stadium. I like Anaheim Stadium but even with it being Baseball Only now it still has that Football Stadium feel to me. I really like Petco Park in San Diego as well.

Went to the Dodger game on Saturday, fun night at the ballpark. The enhancements to the stadiums are fantastic. The bathrooms are great and the little play area's and updated food locations were really awesome.

Dodgers won 1-0 but it wasn't really a pitchers duel. It was more of a "Dodgers still aren't hitting" duel. Kershaw is a beast and I think the closest any Pirates runner got to scoring was to 2nd base.

Now that our Disney passes are expired I think we are going to try and get to a game a month. Still cheaper than Disney. LOL

The only stadium I've been to was the one in St Petersburg, FL where the Rays play. It's a small stadium and actually has roughly the same field dimensions as Ebbet's Feild did. The then owner of the Rays was a big Brooklyn Dodgers fan. I'm also going to visit Fenway Park when I go to SFNE and Wrigley Field when I visit SFGAm.

Re: The 2013 Major League Baseball Thread

The lion's share of my baseball experiences have been in Anaheim, since I lived in the OC area from 1966-1982 and my bonds as an Angel fan were made forever strong then. Anaheim Stadium, Edison International Field and now Angel Stadium, has been three differently designed stadiums over the years on the same site. I have been to Dodger Stadium and Jack Murphy but havent been to Petco. Made it to Candlestick for football, and Pac Bell (now A T and T) is wonderful for baseball. Been to Wrigley Field and old Comiskey in Chicago, and saw a Dodgers-Astros game one night at the Astrodome. I also made a special trip to NYC in 2008 to see the old (albeit refurbished) "House that Ruth built", Yankee Stadium. Saw a weekend series there.
