Hehe, I know who he is. I was just highlighting the fact that I only see one important name in the picture. Go DeShaun! I'm a huge fan of UCLA sports. I was at the UCLA vs. USC football game last year. One of the best games that I'll ever go to - not sure how many more will turn out like that. Go Bruins!

HS sucks anyway! I don't plan on going to either UCLA or USC for college.

We've got a very interesting development. Appalachian State leads Michigan 31-26 with less than 10 minutes to go in the game at the Big House. Duke is leading UConn in the 2nd Quarter. Virginia Tech looks like it will beat ECU (Though the Pirates gave 'em their best shot)17-7.

And Lloyd Carr may get fired if they lose that game.

Michigan intercepts a pass and they have possession. Looks like Michigan will escape.

They block two field goal attempts in the last two minutes...a gutty drive down the field of their own...

Appalachian State 34 Michigan 32 in Ann Arbor. WOW.

I guess that's why they play the games.

Shows what i know...I head over to the corner to do my bike riding and come back to this. That IS why they play the game. I don't ever want to hear anyone whine about cupcake games ever again. They have a chance too.

Re: The Official 2007 College Football Thread

I didn't even know about the "Big Ten TV Network" til just the other day..and I found it by accident today on my DirecTV. Brian, after I saw your initial post, I turned on the game just in time to see Hart's run that put the Wolverines ahead.

Then they missed the two-point conversion, but got the ball right back on the interception with 4 minutes plus left...okay, I figure, they've dodged the bullet.

    And then, WOW.

By the way, no one should second guess Carr on going for that first field goal with 1:27 left. On 4th and 6, it was the thing to do.

As far as "cupcake" games though, this is being called the greatest upset in many years for a reason. 99 per cent of the time it's like the Penn State game, 59-0.

I thought Michigan was supposed to be a great team this year.

I don't have that channel. I was going by the updates on ESPN. After the interception I turned the TV to NBC to see Notre Dame and Georgia Tech kick off and get my bike riding in. I guess I am as surprised as you are.

And I don't get Big Ten Network. [sarcasm](Thank you Comcast)[/sarcasm]

Word is Fox wants to make that a must carry as of 2008 or they'll pull all Fox-owned stations (including the local stations they own) off Comcast come January 1st.

About the only bright side to that IMHO is no Bill O'reilly. What an moron he is.

Re: The Official 2007 College Football Thread

Actually, on DirecTV they had all the games featuring Big Ten teams (each of them produced by this new Big Ten network)...and at least for now, it's on the basic package (no extra charge)...

Seven years ago I ditched cable and I've loved my DirecTV ever since. Now, one more reason.
