Re: Semi-Official 2007 NFL Season Thread Part I

Just when I was thinking that all was lost. All of my teams this weekend...

    The Angels....

    USC....

    And the Char....

Hold on! A ray of light out of the inpenatrable gloom! Can it be?

    THE CHARGERS WON A GAME!!

And not just any game! Denver at HOME by a score of....

    41-3!!!

Could it be that the Chargers don't suck that bad after all?

Or is Denver really that horrible?

I'm going with option #1. Bring on the Raiders!

I am with you on that one LDF!

USC's Matt Leinart out indefinitely for the Cardinals with a collarbone injury...

After five weeks (not counting the Monday game) the elite teams in the NFL are clearly New England and Indianapolis. Can't wait til they play each other.

Didn't anyone else here see the end of that MNF game tonight? Absolutely amazing...first, that the Cowboys needed a miracle comeback to beat Buffalo by one...and second, that they were able to do it!

And is anyone else getting tired of the coach-waiting-til-the-last-second thing on timeouts before field goal attempts...tonight it was Buffalo's Dick Jauron...Nick Folk kicked it through from 53, twice in a row!

They really need to change that rule next off-season.

Indefinately for Matt Leinart and Jake Delhomme...the rest of the year.

And look who Carolina signed...Vinnie Testiverde. Do you know how old he is? He's 206!

My goodness, who knew that Peyton Manning got picked six times...or the Chargers would get 23 in the first half...and then see the Colts roar back, and then see Adam Viniterri, the greatest clutch kickers in history choke...yes, choke.

Or Antonio Cormarite be like his uncle Warren fielding picks.

It's official. Phillip Rivers is the worst quarterback in the history of the NFL.

Down go the Chargers....again. And on a Philip Rivers interception in the final minutes.

I don't know what happened to him this year, but yeesh.

The Patriots avoid another scare and Bart Scott goes off the deep end on MNF. The penalties and time outs sucked yes but chill out man that was RiDiCuLoUs.

Re: Semi-Official 2007 NFL Season Thread Part I

As of this moment, the "line" on the Jets-Patriots game in Foxboro tomorrow is New England by 24, I believe. (Presented for entertainment purposes only, as we say in radio.)

Could it be with this Noreaster storm, that the Jets might be able to beat that spread?

If it were one of about maybe 25 teams OTHER THAN the Jets, this might have been the weekend to beat the Patriots and their pass-on-every-down offense...

And will this be the weekend, for the 2007 Dolphins...members of that 72 team will be honored...the Ravens are crumbling...if not tomorrow, Miami, when?
