Greg Oden Out for the Year

The No. 1 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, Greg Oden, most likely will miss the entire 2007-08 season.

Maybe not. Imagine, if you will, in three seasons, with a 4th year Greg Oden and a 3rd year OJ Mayo or Kevin Love on the same team.

Nice to see someone on MC sporting that Niner logo.

Back on topic, I don't know what impact Oden would have had in the NBA this season anyway. No disrespect, I just mean that I see a player like Durant, who is already NBA-ready, to make a real impact. Oden could be one of the most dominant centers in the league, just not now. I give him my best and hope he has a successful recovery.

I was looking forward to see him play this year. To bad it had to happen. I'm sure he'll come back 100%, STAT did.

    But two things are certain:

    1. They will likely wind up with a lotto pick.
    2. They will lose fifty games again, and get their coach fired.

Not so sure they will fire the Coach. The have Nate McMillian who is a very good coach, not to mention his players love him. More importantly management loves him. Management knows they are a very young team. Brandon Roy, Channing Frye, Lamarcus Aldridge, Greg Oden, Sergio Rodriguez etc. Then factor in the only veteran they had was Zach Randolph now a Knick. They recieved Steve Francis in return who was bought out. The interesting thing here is what if they get a top 3 pick again and draft O.J. Mayo point guard from USC to go with Roy, Oden, Frye etc. SCARY!!!

    But they have me.

I knew this was going to happen. I'm like the only person in the entire state of Oregon who didn't get excited when we got the #1 pick. I figured we'd screw it up somehow. Nothing ever goes right for the Blazers. I almost feel bad for all the new season ticket holders. Almost.
