Well I took a little catnap. That's a by product of being as old as I am. The Cubs are behind 1 to 0 in this game. I sit here thinking about all the playoff games that I have watched in my lifetime. Most of them were Bulls games. Most of those were successful, since it was during the era of Micahel Jordan.
Carlos Zambrano has pitched OK. The Cubs need to score, and score soon.
Ron Santo has been pretty calm so far.
I decided I better make some tea, to keep me awake.
What was the red light flashing back behind the batter?
It was a lighted cubs sign and the person holding it was sitting in the batter's box behind home plate. I don't think that person will be allowed to come and sit in that area again. That was not cool. I am all for signs but anything to distract either pitcher is horrible. The game needs to be fair all the way around.
I had started watching the game on the television, and listening to the local announcers on the radio. However the delay was so great, that I was already being told what the batter had done, and he hadn't done it yet on my television. So I turned off the TV in favor of the radio broadcast. It's the way I have been listening to the Cubs all year, so there's no reason to change now.
Well its the 2nd day of Playoffs and I am now watching the 2nd game of the Phillies/Rockies series. I stayed up for the entire Cubs game last night, and then I fell asleep listening to the after stuff on the radio.
It's funny what a good night's sleep can accomplish. I can only aaccept what happened yesterday, and realize that if the Cubs win today then we are back to square one. That is a good thing.
