I have never been to a Bears game. You would think that living into Chicago, I would have gotten to at least one in my lifetime.

Well I did it again. I can't tell you how many times I have been watching a football game late at night and I fall asleep. I wake up after the game is over, and I have to go searching for the results.

I missed all the fun. Chicago beat the Packers. 27 - 20.

I see Barry already announced that.

A CFL game, Calgary Stampeders vs. Saskatchewan Rough Riders.

Yes, I know, CFL isn't 'real' football, but I like it. AND the CFL has been around longer than the NFL... so... yeah.

Enjoy yourself. Watching a sporting event in a stadium is a real treat. You really have to be on your toes, to follow the action. The only football game that I ever saw in a stadium was Northwestern, and that was so long ago. We sat in the endzone, and it was too cold to enjoy the game. Also, they lost, and they lost bad. We took a group of Cub Scouts.

I assume you are rooting for Calgary.

I am watching the Yankees game. I need a break from my picture files. I have been working with them all day. This morning, I had trouble with my computer when I tried to burn some picture CD's. Perhaps the hot day here in Chicago had something to do with it.

Yesterday was the Chicago Marathon. They had problems, when the weather got warmer than they expected. A lot of people ended up in the hospital, and one man died. Not good. It doesn't look good for our city to not plan better for a major event. Water, should have been readily available in great supply, and it wasn't.

The baseball game tonite is going very slowly. The Indians are leading the game right now in the 7th inning. The Indians haven't won a World Series since 1948. However they have been to the Fall Classic recently.

The Chicago Cubs hold the worst records. 100 years is a very long time, to not even get to the show.

It looks like the Indians might just win this game. The game is in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Indians are up 6 to 3.

However, the Yankees just got a solo homerun, so the score is now Indians 6, Yankees 4. Alex Rodriguez is batting. There's only 1 out, and no one on base.

The Cleveland Indians have just defeated the New York Yankees. Next stop is Fenway, and the Boston Red Sox are waiting.

I will root for the Indians now. They haven't won a World Series since 1948. All of the other teams left, have won recently.

The next round in the playoffs is the best 4 out of 7. The next round of the playoffs, should be really exciting.

I usually watch the playoffs all the way through to the World Series. The Cubs are not usually there, so I pick a team that I like, and I stick with them. Sometimes, they make it through to the Series, more times they don't.

It doesn't make me a fan, it just makes it more fun.

I agree Barb. Funny thing is I'm rooting for any team but the Sox. Any of the other 3 I'm fine with. Nice to see some new blood in there.

A lot of things seem to determine a person's like or dislike of a team. Here in Chicago, some Cubs fans hate the Padres, because of 1984. The Marlins are not liked because of the Bartman year. Ron Santo, and many Cubs fans totally dislike the Mets, because of 69.

I don't seem to remember 1/2 the time what team was on the other end of the Cubs failure. To me it is just a game. I love the game, but I won't let it break my heart.

Actually, the Cubs were in the World Series six times between 1909 and 1945...the last time they were in the Series.

The last time they won, they beat Detroit in 1908. It would not be beyond the realm of possibility that those teams could meet next year. THAT would be something.
