It was a good game. A major nail biter compared to almost all of the others. Last week by almost 50 points? It got real boring, real fast. I knew today was going to be real close and real good. It didn't disappoint.
That was the Superbowl. Pats are on a mission this year. They may not go 19-0, but probably to the Superbowl and there is isn't a team in the NFC that could even come close to beating them.
Just as in all their other great seasons of this decade, the Patriots somehow just find a way to win. They didn't score on their first possession today...they didn't score at least 30, or win by 40. They were down by ten with nine minutes to go. Yet they found a way to win.
Yes, I know. There's games left to be played. But a memo to Nick Buoniconti, Jim Kiick, Bob Griese, Don Shula and all the other remaining members of the 72 Dolphins...
I'd be getting nervous if I were you.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
