I'm surprised I didn't see a thread on here pre-fight. Anyway I just got back home from watching the fight, and I'm really glad I watched it. Early it seemed that Hatton would win it by decision, based on how he kept coming at "Pretty Boy", who was mostly defensive. Over the course of this fight Hatton reminded me of the kind of fighter described by Martin in Rocky Baboa: "...something standing in front of you, something that ain't running and ain't backin up," which is exactly what Hatton was doing, even in the 8th round (I think) where he got knocked down and still kept coming at Floyd. I gained a lot of respect for Hatton in this fight, despite that cheap rabbit punch he threw. Congratulations to Floyd Mayweather in staying undefeated and pretty much concluding the best 2007 any athlete has had this year. Looks like he will remain the current "best pound for pound boxer in the world."
