    Congratulations Danicka Patrick!!!

    Move over boys....

Danicka won the Indy Japan 300 this weekend. Becoming the first woman ever to win an Indy Car race. She was rookie of the year in 2005, and it has been a long 50 races, but she finally pulled it off!!!

    Way to go!

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

That's totally awesome. And she's not bad to look at either.

I am very happy for her, racing is a very hard endurance sport, good for her for sticking to it, I know its been a hard road for her!

    A little piece of heaven

What about the weight issue? Since it was presented before she raced, if they pass it, her win can be pulled. Correct?

The men have constantly complained about her weight. The cars are required to be a certain weight, but since she's about 80 pounds lighter than any of them men, they say that puts her at an advantage. I say, tough.

I stood up and cheered when I saw this on the news! I've been rooting for her forever! My older brother is a race nut but he only has one daughter, so we've all watched Danica's career. This is way cool.

    Peace!

Yeah, because she's won how many races??? Oh that's right, this is the first.

How sad is it that men who call themselves "professionals" have to result to things like this because they got "Beat by a Girl".

    Tough I say.

I heard about the weight issue too - hey guys put down the beer and brats and drop a couple of pounds.

I also heard some one on the radio complaining that she didn't drive agressively and that enabled her to save more fuel and that was the only reason that she won. The only thing that I could think of was - "Isn't that smart driving, and isn't that what she's supposed to do?"

She won because for that day she ran a better race than the other drivers did. I'm not saying she is or isn't a better driver, or that she is going to go on some crazy unbeaten streak, but let's face it she won. CONGRATS and KUDOS. Good for her!!!!!

Anyone see her on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week? I haven't read the article yet.
