Some of you Night Photographer gurus what manual settings do you use to get some of the incrediable pictures I see all the time.

I did get a few when I was in Disneyland this last February but nothing like the ones ive seen!

I'm definitely not a photography guru and I don't know much about settings, but I did manage to capture this night photo. The only setting I used was turning off the flashing and holding the camera still so the photo would not be blurry.

    What is your lens? f/1.8? f/3.2? f/4.5?

For general outside night try: ISO 1600, f 5.6, 3 seconds, and adjust from there.

Dark rides try: ISO 1600 or greater, f 1.8, 1/30th second...

Thanks Cakvalsac! Slightly OT, but a tip for keeping your camera steady so that you can have a slow shutter speed is to place it on a rail, wall, or my favorite - one of the trashcans (which they have so many of in the parks.)

So I bought a older 1980s F1.8 50MM prime lens and all I can say is WOW, using it in manual mode I am able to use a faster shutter speed and get clear pictures at night.... So excited! Yay
