    Survey: DL Walkee iGuide

Totally curious (I hope I posted this in the right place!)... but I'd love to know how many people on here have the iPhone and use the Walkee iGuide App at Disneyland and contribute the wait times... We use it all the time, how many other Micechatters are joining us?

We go on average once a week and I'm pretty good about updating our waits. I love it because people really are starting to use it alot so the times are reasonably accurate. But you know from the timestamp on the last wait time listing if it is current or has the potential to be askew.

It's an iPhone/iTouch App. It uses GPS in the park to do everything from show you your location, tell you event information for that day in the park, track where you parked your car to the most important (in my opinion) part - the real time waits for the rides at DCA and DL! Only people who are currently in the park (tracked through GPS location) are able to enter in their wait times for rides.

Does that explain it? (I'm only slightly obsessed with it! But it just makes planning out our days so much better because we know whether it is worth trekking across the park to go ride something)

Yeah, I only got an iPhone a couple months ago. If I'd had any idea how much I would come to rely and love it... I'd have gotten one a lot sooner!

I have this app, but I haven't been to Disneyland since I got it. I'll get to try it out in a couple of weeks! Yippee!

My one question is how FastPass affects the wait times. If I wait 10 minutes for Space Mountain because I have a FastPass and someone who's in Stand-by waits 55 minutes doesn't the screw things up?

I have this app, but have never used it for the wait times. There's never enough people using it to be able to trust that they are accurate. For all you know, someone could be messing around from their living room couch plugging in wait times.

I always use it to save my parking info, check off attractions, and for show times.

I really wish Disney would come out with their own wait time app with accurate numbers. I would use the heck out of it!

I don't think you are supposed to enter it if you're on a FastPass. What I have done is enter the time on the wait board at the que entrance if there isn't a more accurate time already entered on the Walkee iGuide.

saw it on the iTunes store, the reviews werent that great, so I didnt get it. I think id be interested in paying for this if it was something Disney maintained and ran well. As pointed out, it only works if people inside the park with the app participate and run it. Why do I want to pay to do the work?

You can't enter a wait time if your GPS coordinates don't place you inside the parks. (I've tested it... )

I've also watched and noticed it does seem to be pretty accurate and if I get in line and find the wait time is shorter I am certainly not about to complain. LOL!
