Question Cell phone trade-in?

Has anyone used any of the cell phone or ipod trade-in sites to get cash or gift cards for their old stuff?
I saw that best buy has a program for that in association with DealTree.com (where you get a gift card for your phone's value) and I just want to know if any of these programs are worth while because I just got a new phone and would like to get cash or gift card for my old phone and it's accessories.

Thanks!

I've never used any of the sites, but if you're not gonna use your old phone, then why not try it?

Just be sure to clear off all your saved info (pics, phone#'s, etc.) before sending it in.

I looked into a couple where they let you know the value of your old phone and it was like $5 for a 2 year old phone so not worth it!!! Check it out online---some will let you put your model # and tell you what you will get...

Yeah, I did and I can get anywhere from $10-$40 for it depending on the site, but I just want to know if these sorts of things are scams or the real thing and if you actually get what you are quoted online.

Re: Cell phone trade-in?

Best Buy promotes DealTree.com, so apparently it's legit.
