I've gotten conflicting information on this issue from the net so thought I'd toss it out to the room.
Right now I have an old 26 inch CRT type TV set (IE non flat screen)
The way my living room is set up I do not have any ceiling light, so I need a lamp next to the chair I sit in.
The TV is directly in front of the chair.
As a result, when the lamp is turned on, I can see it reflected in the TV. I'm not talking glare here but literally seeing the lamp in the TV.
I've been told by some that this would not be an issue with a new flat screen set.
Is this accurate ?
There's no real way for me to move the lamp, though of course if I'm not reading or anything I just turn it off and problem solved.
But I will be shopping for new flat screen and so since this is a factor I wanted to know if a) the reflection problem would be solved with a flat screen and b) if Plasma vs. LCD vs. LED there is a type that is better for this situation
Also any ideas on good models is welcome, though I'm in no rush to buy.
