    Quick Photoshop Question

I'm trying to put a stroke on the funky Visitor BRK font that they use in making user bars, and I'm having a devil of a time. I'm using Photoshop Elements with MAC OS 10.4 and every time I go to highlight the text, I can no longer access the stroke option. Am I missing something? I checked help, but nothing there. Anyone know how to put a stroke on text using a mac?

I don't really know photoshop elements, but in regular photoshop you apply the stroke to the layer in the layer/layer styles menu

    Hope it helps

    Re: Quick Photoshop Question

Dizmo - Thanks for your reply. It must have to do with the fact that it's Photoshop Elements instead of normal Photoshop. There is no stroke option under layer/layer styles. I have an stroke under edit for outlining a complete layer, but nothing for the text. I'll keep at it though. I can't believe there wouldn't be a way to outline text in Elements.

    Thanks again!

    Re: Quick Photoshop Question

I'm not sure what it's called, but to outline text, I make it a new layer, then floating, then go up and add 1 or 2 in the expand option, then add a layer, then fill in that layer w/the ouitline color, then move the tect layer on top of the filled layer and presto.

    Re: Quick Photoshop Question

Neverland...thanks for the help! I tried a variation of your suggestion by creating another layer and I found a thin outline option in effects. (Who knew you had to double click on effects?) I'm still wondering why Elements won't let you highlight text and put a stroke on it. Or maybe it was just me.
    Anyway... thanks again!
