    MP3/MPG Splicer/Editor?

Does anyone know of a free or very cheap GOOD audio/video splicer/editor?

I used Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer's trial and it was fine to edit but when I spliced, it added all this background noise.

I do have Adobe Primere, but I'm unsure how to use it for this puropse (Anyone know?) The vid I tried wanted to sav eas avi. and ws going to be HUGE. I had no clue how to do audio only.

    TIA.

What about Audacity? That's open source and works really well.
    Woof!

Cool MP3 Splitter works pretty well. It may be $20 for the full version, but for the free trial version, you can cut mp3s up to three times for each track. You can slice more, but you just have to back up two steps and slice again instead of all at once. Easy to use and works great.

For mp3 editing, I've been using the shareware version of GoldWave for years and am very happy with it.

I sware up down left and right by Audacity. I do editing of a podcast with it. Great to use and easy to do. Just make sure to export in .WAV and then convert it to the desired bit rate in iTunes or such.
