Ugh... hosting? (preferably cheap hosting)

Turns out my company will only host 1 of my 5 domains. So if I wanna use the others as more than redirects... gotta find somewhere to park them.

Suggestions?

This would be a fairly low-traffic website, so I don't need a lot of bandwidth, just reliability.

I used to use www.homestead.com . Worked well for me and was easy to use. Just a suggestion.

LiquidWeb:

If you pay 6 months at a time, it's only $12.46 a month. Plus, they have great 24-hour phone technical support.

Re: Ugh... hosting? (preferably cheap hosting)

Okay, I figured out that I can use the forwarding from having it parked at godaddy, so in truth, I really only need hosting for one address. Two addresses will be forwarded to the one hosted by my company, and of the remaining two, one will be forwarded to the other.

Whew! That sounds better

If you're looking for cheap hosting, and aren't worried about bandwidth, try MKOH.com... They're cheap ($10/year) and reliable.. I needed a cheap host for something similar, and they worked out great...

Re: Ugh... hosting? (preferably cheap hosting)

I use http://www.aitcom.net for $7.95 a month and I also use http://www.1and1.com for $3.00 per month, but that is a 6 month pay ahead and includes domain name fees if you need it(you obviously don't).

>Apparently aitcom will do unlimited redirects.

Re: Ugh... hosting? (preferably cheap hosting)

I have a hosting plan I dont think you can pass up.. lol

Check out http://www.dreamhost.com - It's 9.95/month (no setup fee if you preregister for a year).. And if you preregister for two years, you get it for $7.95/month...

That's an amazing price as it is for what you get (20 GB of storage? 1 TB of bandwidth?)

But it gets better... Every week you get 160MB of extra storage, and 8GB of extra bandwidth, and it keeps adding up every week you use them.

I know I sound like a walking advertisment for them, but I just signed up for them today and can't believe how great it is. They also have unlimited domains, and you get a free one when you sign up.

And, you can use this promo code to get a discount- DISAVE50 will save you $50...

(Just so you know, I think I get some money when you sign up using this, but I'm not 100% how it works.. I dont care about the money, though- with dreamhost you can give people a promo code that acts like a referer, except they get the extra money instead of you.. I feel bad posting my own promo code after giving them such a glowing review, but the way it works is that you can generate promo codes in your account to give to people... I realized this after I wrote the review, and if you use the promo code or not I still 100% recommend them)
