I need help fixing color, and such on computer.

my daughter decided to mess around with my old computer ( not that old) and now the screen is white, ( instead of the blue regular screen) and the icons are huge. I have tried to go into settings and fix color, and icon size, but it will not stay .what am I doing wrong? and the colors are all screwy, and when I put a picture on the desk top to check it, the picture is all broken up. whats wrong and how can I fix these problems?

Karla, after you make the adjustments, do you click "Apply" or "Ok"? Because you need to make sure that you click "Apply".

What kind of computer do you have? What Windows version does it operate on?

I suggest you do a system restore to a few days before she played with the colors! That should put you back on track!

Re: I need help fixing color, and such on computer.

To reset the screen color and icons:

1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel
2. Double Click "Display"
3. On the Wallpaper tab, select 'None' in the list (it will be at the very top).
4. On the Appearance tab, select 'Windows Default' in the top drop-down list.
5. On the Effects tab, make sure that "Show Large Icons" is uncheked.
6. Click OK.

Re: I need help fixing color, and such on computer.

You need to ask your daughter to fix it Karla. I mean if she did it, you shouldn't have to fix it really.

Have you tried adjusting any of the settings on the monitor itself?
