Converting 8mm to computer for editing?

    Hi everybody,

I want to convert my 8mm home movies to my computer so I can burn them onto a DVD.

Is there any easy way to do this???

    Thanks.

The best solution in my opinion, is to use a professional transfer service. Generally, there not that expensive, and they have the hardware that allows you to get the best quality. Most home solutions don't work that well. At work, we've got this 8mm projection system, that projects a 8mm film into a CCD, and then we mirror the image for best results.
