    Its Official..i'm making the leap

Thats right, I'm getting an Apple G4 IBook. Yeah, I know its not the newest system, but it is installed with Tiger. Im getting it for 400 dollars from one of my dads friends who supplys computers to his company.
I'm so happy, i'v been saving up so much to get an Imac G5, but this will do. I'v used Macs tons before, I even know how to use final cut pro, ect.
I'm so utterly exited! Woo hoo!

I think it depends on if its equipped with the combo drive or the super drive. If it has the super drive I believe it will burn both. And I'm not sure how to determine which drive it has in it....

Yup. You should be able to burn right out of iMovie or iDVD. The only catch is compatibility of your DVD player to media. If memory serves, DVD-R media tends to be more compatible.

Your screen showed you can write both write-once DVDs (DVD-R, DVD+R) and read-write (write multiple times) media DVD-RW. DVD-RW is only really used for data, and not used often given the price of write-only media is so low.

If you are just looking to make MOVIEs to play on a DVD player.. yes. Just pickup a stack of 25 or 50. This type of stuff is very often on sale or with mail in rebates. So if you hold off and wait, typically you can get a great deal
