    New MacBook Pro

So, I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a new MacBook Pro. This will be my first Apple since the IIc days. (I did buy my wife a PowerBook G4 in 2005, so I am not a complete stranger). So, my question is, what are your favorite apps and utilities beyond what comes in the box?

Put your dvd (that you own) in the drive, close dvd player if it opens, extract the main feature of your movie dvd into iPod format and synch the result to your iPod 5g.

I'm almost positive it won't work with rented disks and such...

Assuming that you were asking me...

It is in the mail. I should receive it tomorrow. I will post a review this weekend.

Hey, do you know if you use bootcamp and load vista, can you change the size of the bootcamp partition after the fact, or are you stuck with the original allocation?

Adium X - Instant messanging. Supports multiple services (AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, Google, etc) and allows multiple accounts of each service. Much better IMO than iChat.
NeoOffice - OppenOffice.org for Mac OS X that operates without X11.
Gimpshop - Photo editor based on the layout of Photoshop. Uses X11.

All of the above are freeware.
