Steaming Audio To a Phone Line

Is there any way or program to make it so the audio output from my Ibook is hooked up to our landline so i can answer phone calls on my laptop and mix sounds and audio?

From your title, I thought this was a phone sex thread! "Steaming" audio.

I know on a PC if you have a modem with voice capabilities, you can do cool stuff like that. I do not know what is available for a mac.

I would look for modems with "voice" in the name. I know Zoom makes one that is Mac compatible.
