    Question Best Laptop?

    Hello,
I am looking into getting a new laptop. I was thinking about the MacBook Pro. I am looking for one that is not too big, so I would say less than 18in. Nice graphics, fast processor, decent-sized hard drive, wireless capabilities, and a good amount of memory. Any operating system. Also not too bulky, as to fit in a backpack or laptop case. No limit to price Any suggestions/reviews?
    Thank you very much,
    ~Siskey

MacBooks are the way to go. I can't wait until I scrape enough pennies together to get one.

considering a majroity come with windows vista (that made me almsot barf)...i'd go macbooko can't go wrong. Esp if you're using it for multimedia, graphics, etc... i'm sure those who have it on this board can attest to that
Three-time MVP Larry Bird, noting that Bryant has been the NBA's premier player for years, told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick before this week's announcement, "When someone told me the other day that Kobe hadn't won an MVP trophy, it sort of made me feel like I wanted to throw mine away."

I can't afford the MacBook, but I do have an iBook
I love it. Its by far the best computer I have ever owned. Its perfectly sized, the hard drive is just the right size, it can burn dvds and cds, has imovie, ect.
    I love it.
And you can't beat the price, they go pretty cheap if they are refurbished

Or if you like marketing tie ins with a 15'4" screen (I recommend a 17" if possible), you can get an Acer Ferrari.

Do NOT get an Acer!!! I have had one for about three months. Of those three months, it has been in the shop for about 2. Terrible customer service and a very buggy machine.

I'm regretting not saving up for a new Mac.

MY Acer has been for fine for the last 7 months, of course with any brand there is a chance you'll get a lemon. For example my generation one iPod is now dead.

I have a Gateway M505. I like it, no major problems and I've had it since 2003.

I'm going to get a Mac next though. One of my friends got one, and I'm hooed on the sexy whiteness of it. I think Apple just might take over my home!

Oh, I fully understand that (I've even had a Mac with a few problems ) and I did give Acer the benefit of the doubt, the first time. But it is the customer service, or lack there of, from Acer that has me saying it is a rotten company. The first time I sent it in, they had it for a month! Ten days later - crash again. They still have it and it has been 2 weeks. I don't expect to see it for another 2 weeks. When I've sent Macs back Apple, I've gotten my machine back in 3 days. Even when the Mac was past warranty I got it back in a week. Apple service is superior.

Apple serviced the ac adaptor on my ibook blueberry rev. A free of charge (it was sparky) out of warranty. I do think however it was a common problem with them. It's in fact dead again. I wish the new iBooks had the rubberized coat, but the new iBook is superior in pretty much every other way.

Edit: I also miss the handle from my blueberry iBook.

In terms of functionality i think the iBook and the MacBook are quite similar. The MacBook just has a little more of everything. Bigger HD, more memory, a camera.
When comparing to the price both are at, I personally think the iBook is better, just price wise.
    But hey, thats my opinion
