I'm trying to decide whether to get the black iPod or white...I can't decide. On one hand, the white is original...On the other, I heard the black iPod's scratch easily but black is my favorite color...What do you think?

I have the black and it is gorgeous, but I carry a microfiber rag with it because it gets covered in fingerprints . . . both the black and the chrome. Mine has no major scratches after about seven months of use. I would put it in a silicone cover, but that is way too much like grandma's car seat covers in the old days.
I still love the black best, but the white would at least not show the smudges on the front white surface.
I have the black 80g, and love the color. I put mine in a plastic protective case and love it. The silvr backing always scratches, kinda hard to avoid.
I have a black one. I use the Crystal Film to keep it nice and pretty, so far no scratches on the face or the silver back and you can barely tell the stuff is there.
i have a black one, but i keep it in a silicone skin that looks like grass, the clickwheel has a few scratches but thats because I have long nails and use them on the wheel.
I'm starting to lean toward black, but it's a tough choice! I mean, this affects the rest of my life...Whether I'll look at my iPod and think "Wow, it's so black" or "Wow, it's so white." I mean, this is like BIG ;)
Sarcastically aside, I have a hard time with choices like these even though their kinda petty.
Once you go Black you never go back...
I have the white one, i know ironic right?
I have another question for iPod users:
Is there a way to have the iPod plugged into the computer (so you can play music on itunes) without having it be charged? I know this sounds weird, but I've heard that constantly charging the ipod when it doesn't need to be can damage the lithium battery...So is there a way I can hook it up to my Mac for music without having it be charging the whole time? Otherwise It'd never go down and i think that hurts the battery.
White.
I find it looks classier and sleeker.
Personal opinions though.
I do though...I plug in my iPod through the USB, and I can play all my songs off my iPod on the mac. The problem is that it charges while you do that, and therefore my worries...Because I leave my old iPod in all the time so I can play music but my new one I want to find out if it's bad for it.
