    Sprint Cell Phones

from what I believe sprint runs all of their data off of "CDMA Technology" ..I was curious if I could get any CDMA phone and use it with my sprint carrier or if I would have to get a Sprint phone to use it with them, has anybody had any experience with this?...Thanks!

Yes you should be able to do that as long as the phone is "unlocked" and can be used with any carrier that uses CDMA. YOu can't use a GSM phone (which AT&T and T-Mobile uses) on a CDMA network and vice versa.

I have heard the blackberry world phone for CDMA has a sim card slot. I was watching a video about the blackberry world phone from verizon has a sim slot. But you will probably need to get it unlocked.

Pretty much all cell phones these days use SIM cards. Do you maybe mean a micro SD memory card? If so, yes Blackberrys take them. I use a 1BG one in mine to store pictures I take.

From my understanding, you must purchase the phone from Sprint. There is an extra level of verification in the Sprint system in which the network checks the phone's serial number and if Sprint does not have the phone on record will not allow the phone to work.

I have the ENV from verizon and I have no sim card. The blackberry 8830 has a sim card slot because its a world phone or something if you take out the battery and looking in the left top corner theres the slot.

Right. T-Mobile also carries the 8830. From what I know, all Blackberries have SIM card slots. I've never heard of no SIM card except for phones from 6-7+ years ago.

The Palm Treos (on Sprint at least) do not have SIM cards either.
